Blakedown Landscapes is delighted to be sponsoring a Landscape Institute Masterclass led by Avra Ploumi-Archer, Director of Space + Place Design.

Aligned with the LI's competency framework and accepted as part of the Continuing Professional Development for members, this masterclass will delve into the main contracts relevant to landscape architects; namely JCLI, JCT, JCT D&B, and NEC. It will also explore topics around responsibilities, liabilities and other details pertaining to contracts.

As part of the session, our Director, Chris Wellbelove, will discuss key aspects of Contractor's Design Portion (CDP) contracts, emphasising the contractor’s responsibilities.

Attendees will learn strategies to involve contractors early in the CDP process, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration. The session will also cover the importance of reviewing construction sequencing with contractors and obtaining detailed method statements to enhance project efficiency and safety.
