Blakedown Landscapes has been recognised in Horticulture Week’s Top 70 UK Landscape & Maintenance Contractors for 2025, placing at 21.

Over the past year, we’ve continued our success, with Chris Wellbelove appointed as managing director and key hires made across the business. Major projects such as the regeneration of Brunel University in Uxbridge and landscape improvements at Barnard Park and Halliwick Recreation Ground have helped shape the public realm, while our work on Greenwich Park Revealed and The Oudolf Landscape at RHS Garden Wisley was recognised with two BALI Awards
Our sister company, Blakedown Sport & Play, also features at 23 on the list, recognising their leadership in sports construction.
Blakedown Sport & Play delivered the UK’s first fully sustainable 3G football pitch using Edel Grass Turf-to-Turf technology and played a key role in the £6m Lawn Tennis Association Park Improvement Programme. Other major projects included a £1m hockey pitch at Emanuel School and a £2.3m upgrade at Cardinal Newman School, featuring a sustainable pitch and facilities. Business development specialist David Leed also joined the company to help drive future growth and ensure continued innovation in sports construction.
