This site is a site of special scientific interest and appropriate measures had to be taken at all stages of the project to safeguard the area’s protected species.
The works included:
○ De-silting of ponds
○ Vegetation management
○ New planting
○ Access Improvements
○ Resurfacing and redesign of car park and approach road
○ Resurfacing and upgrade of the path network
○ New sustainably built visitor facilities

The new design acts as a template for training disabled groups into accessing woodlands and special interest areas so they are able to interact with nature in a positive and educational way.
