The major redevelopment of this famous RHS garden was completed by Blakedown within a very tight timeframe. The works included all civil engineering and major excavations, car park restoration, laying over 2000m2 of clay paving and over 1500m2 of Dolomite paving, installation of raised Cor-ten steel planter edging, lighting and major drainage and attenuation, made difficult by the very high water table. Soft landscaping was also part of the contract. At points during the project over 70 operatives were on site working in different sections to help deliver this impressive and ambitious scheme on time.
