First opened in 1958, Queen’s Square lies at the heart of Crawley town centre. Once a deteriorating space, which was inflexible and showing its age, it has been transformed by Blakedown into a high quality, inviting, distinctive and enjoyable public area. Executed to a very high level, the improvements include high quality paving, new and improved lighting, new seating, new bespoke street furniture, new planting and a water feature/fountain. The scheme has encouraged new businesses to open and existing retailers and property owners to improve the appearance of their own buildings
